Gateshead MBC mayor, David Lynn, has hosted a visit by the consul general of Japan, Kenichi Suganuma. The consul visited the council to discuss the links between Gateshead and Japan, particularly around twin town Komatsu. ‘We have some really close links with Japan, particularly with our twin town, so it's a real pleasure to welcome such an important visitor,' said Cllr Lynn.
