Tunbridge Wells BC has cut 18 senior posts. The authority has approved plans to save £500,000 a year by creating three new directorates for change and business support, planning and development, and services to the community. The scrapping of existing directorates will lead to the abolition of 18 top posts, including finance director and deputy chief executive, Geoff Levitt. Staffordshire CC has also announced a recruitment freeze on all senior and specialist posts as part of a review of the authority's management.
