Councils and other public sector organisations have been accused of promoting ‘non-jobs' by the pressure group TaxPayer's Alliance. The group has published a list of ‘non-jobs', with an average starting salary of £36,893 a year, claiming ‘cardboard citizens managing director' and ‘civil resilience manager', as examples.
