Glasgow City Council has launched a new strategy aimed at bringing 10,000 jobs to the east end of the city. The council's executive has approved a proposal for the East End local development strategy to revitalise part of the city. ‘People in the east end of Glasgow suffer from some of the highest levels of deprivation and health inequalities in Scotland,' said executive member for development and regeneration, Cllr George Ryan. ‘But this new strategy will allow us to unlock the huge potential that exists in this area of the city.'
