The MJ is delighted to announce that judges have given finalists or commended awards to a total of 144 entries in the 14 categories that make up The MJ Local Government Achievement Awards 2006. Of these, 78 are finalists whose names will go forward to the awards gala dinner at the Hilton Hotel, Park Lane, London, on 27 June. There the host, broadcaster ~Fiona Bruce~ will announce the 14 winners, one from each category. A further 66 entries have been commended.
