The former managing director of local government at the Audit Commission has been appointed as the chair of the Youth Justice Board. Frances Done, a former chief executive of Rochdale MBC, will take up the position from 1 February. He replaces Prof Rod Morgan, who has resigned. Children's secretary, Ed Balls, said: ‘Ms Done's experience in both the public and the private sector, and her track record on delivery, will contribute enormously to the challenges we face in tackling youth crime.'
