Communities and local government secretary, Ruth Kelly, has had her complaint over privacy against a national newspaper rejected. The Press Complaints Commission ruled that the subject of Ms Kelly removing her son from state school to educate him privately was a matter of ‘considerable' public interest. The commission added that it raised ‘important issues for public debate', and questioned the nature of publicly-funded schooling.
