Kent County Council has signed a £32m outsourcing contract with Unisys to create Kent Public Service Network - a shared computer network for public services in the county. The new network will provide a single structure for 1,000 public sector sites linking services in Thanet and Canterbury district councils with the county's Kent Connects service. Work will start connecting the first sites in September and be fully operational by February next year.
