Kent CC's online TV channel has proved a screening success, with 109,000 visits since its launch in September. www.KentTV.com, the only county council-funded broadband TV service in the UK, is now averaging 35,000 hits a month. The county council's chief executive, Peter Gilroy, said: ‘I am very pleased that so many people are already using the channel, and obviously finding plenty to keep them interested. ‘There are now more than 350 films on the site which have all been produced in Kent.' Last month saw the channel's inaugural board meeting. The cross-party independent advisory body will now agree the terms of reference and provide guidelines for the channel.
