The local government White Paper presents a good opportunity to make Local Area Agreements (LAA) more flexible, according to London Councils chairman, Merrick Cockell. 'It should be for the local areas to reach their own conclusions on the level of ambition to set for an individual LAA,' he told a New Local Government Network conference.
