Local government minister Jim McMahon has vowed to ‘come back stronger' after pausing plans for reorganisation earlier this month.

Speaking to a local government rally at the Labour Party Conference in Liverpool, McMahon told councillors the decision to halt the local government reorganisation (LGR) process ‘wasn't taken lightly'.
