The Government has refused to reassure councils forced to scrap their committee systems it will provide funding to help them change their governance models.

The Government has refused to reassure councils forced to scrap their committee systems it will provide funding to help them change their governance models. 

Bristol City Council, which voted in favour of a committee system only three years ago, had called for the Government to ‘provide funding so that the substantial costs of further change isn't borne solely by local taxpayers'.
