Councils in Lancashire are edging closer to an agreement on reorganisation, but it is likely to be left to ministers to decide on a final proposal.

Councils in Lancashire are edging closer to an agreement on reorganisation, but it is likely to be left to ministers to decide on a final proposal.

There is currently no widespread agreement on a single proposal for reorganisation in the county, with senior civil servants understood to have told leaders that more complicated areas might not be delivered until the next Parliament.
