Waltham Forest LBC has been taken off special measures, four years after being judged as the one of the worst-performing councils in the country. Minister for London, ~Jim Fitzpatrick~ praised the council, which has seen a 67% overall service performance improvement since 2002. ‘It is a striking example of what can be achieved when members and officers are committed to working together to improve,' he said.
