The new leader of Wirral MBC offered the outgoing Labour leadership four seats at his 10-strong cabinet table, after a vote of no confidence this week brought an end to Steve Foulkes' stewardship of the authority.

Conservative Cllr Jeff Green was elected to lead the Merseyside authority after a vote of no confidence in Cllr Foulkes was passed by 36 votes to 30 on 13 February.
