Leeds City Council has been working with repairs contractor Morrison and West North West Homes Leeds to save more than a ton of discarded furniture from landfill and recycle it to help the homeless and vulnerable.

‘While many tenants leave their property clear and clean, as they should do, from time-totime, we do find perfectly good furniture that has been left behind,' said executive board member, Cllr Mark Dobson.
