Three councils have confirmed they are taking legal action against education secretary Michael Gove's plans to axe school building projects.

Nottingham City Council and Luton BC revealed they are mounting a joint legal challenge, which will stand alongside a writ from Waltham Forest LBC to challenge the decision to axe the £55bn Building Schools for the Future (BSF) initiative.
