Tower Hamlets LBC could seek legal action to ensure the Olympic marathon is returned to East London. The 2012 Games organisers notified the council in August that the marathon would no longer start at London Bridge.
But Tower Hamlets has now urged the organisers to reroute the event before it applies for a judicial review.
