Legal victory for TA medic A Territorial Army medic has won a three-year battle against East Riding of Yorkshire Council, after refusing to pay council tax while serving in Iraq. Ian Boynton, 39, won his legal battle after Beverley Magistrates’ Court quashed a demand from the council for him to pay £230 in arrears.
