Leicestershire CC has awarded a £40m, innovative, long-term highways maintenance contract to Tarmac. The Leicestershire Highway Works Alliance agreement will see Tarmac's national contracting division working in partnership with Leicestershire Highways, the council's in-house highways services provider. The team aims to achieve more than £500,000 of efficiency savings by 2010.
