Leics appoints transport director

Leicestershire CC has appointed Phil Crossland as its new director of environment and transport.

Leicestershire CC has appointed Phil Crossland as its new director of environment and transport.

Mr Crossland, who succeeds Matthew Lugg in the role, is currently executive director of infrastructure services at Shetland Islands Council. Before that, he was director of transportation and planning at Stoke City Council. Mr Crossland has also worked for Shropshire and Surrey county councils. The environment and transport department covers a range of services related to environment and waste and highways and transportation.
