Birmingham City Council has welcomed a visit by the Canadian high commissioner as a boost to business links with North America. James Wright, accompanied by trade and investment councillor, Catherine Dickson, spent two days in the city, meeting city council leader, Mike Whitby, to discuss trade and investment. The visit included a look at existing partnerships and links between universities in Birmingham and Canada, and an event staged by the British American Business Council, for local firms.
