The LGA has signed a £29m deal with Liberata to outsource its back-office functions. Admin services for the LGA and its bodies, including the IDeA, LGE, 4Ps and LACORS, will be included in the 10-year deal. A total of 89 staff will be transferred under TUPE to Liberata's offices in central London. The transferred services will include finance and accounting, HR and Payroll, design and print; ICT and customer services; and facilities management. LGA chief executive, Paul Coen, said: ‘By taking this step, we will be able to make significant savings as well as providing a much more effective service to central bodies and member authorities.'
