LGA: Outcomes framework should be expanded

A proposed framework for assessing the effectiveness of councils should be expanded to cover all public sector bodies, the Local Government Association (LGA) has told ministers.

A proposed framework for assessing the effectiveness of councils should be expanded to cover all public sector bodies, the Local Government Association (LGA) has told ministers.

The proposed framework, first unveiled earlier this year by then deputy prime minister Angela Rayner, detailed 15 priority outcomes and metrics showing what councils might be expected to deliver as ‘national priorities' for local communities.
