The LGA's project delivery arm has relaunched to take on a new brief of helping all local agencies. The 4ps advisors, which focuses on private-finance initiatives and specialist financial negotiations, this week became Local Partnerships to widen its remit to cover other organisations, such as PCTs. It will take forward the Total Place efficiency agenda which is fast-gathering pace. Richard Buxton, interim chief executive, told The MJ: ‘Our coming together is important in terms of Total Place. Multiple organisations working together will be able to share risk and costs across a wider base.' He added: ‘The good local authorities already recognise this but I can think of places where the county council HQ and district council HQ are sited next to each other with no integration.'
