The Local Government Association (LGA) has dropped plans to demote staff by two pay grades and scaled back redundancy proposals as part of its attempted restructure.

The Local Government Association (LGA) has dropped plans to demote staff by two pay grades and scaled back redundancy proposals as part of its attempted restructure.

An LGA spokesperson said it was now ‘expecting far fewer redundancies' than the 10% reduction in its workforce detailed earlier this year.
