LGA takes community budget drive to 'Westminster village'

Ministers and other members of the 'Westminster village' will be subject to a 'hearts and minds' campaign promoting community budgeting, prior to the next Spending Review.

Ministers and other members of the ‘Westminster village' will be subject to a ‘hearts and minds' campaign promoting community budgeting, prior to the next Spending Review, the Local Government Association (LGA) has revealed.

According to a LGA briefing paper, due to be discussed at Smith Square's executive meeting today (15 March), government decision-makers and opinion formers will be the focus of targeted lobbying, which will also extend to elected members, local MPs, professional groups – such as the NHS confederation and ACPO – as well as the wider public.
