The Local Government Group has kicked-off its search for a new chief executive – but has not put a price tag on the job.
Current chief executive, John Ransford, who is due to retire later this year, faced intense scrutiny over his pay last year, after ministers called on him to cut his salary as part of the ongoing campaign against so-called ‘fat cat' pay in local government.
