Questions have been raised regarding the provision of social care from councils, including how it is funded and the standard of service.
Councils have been called on by think-tank, the Local Government Information Unit (LGiU), to take action against higher costs for care, and the lack of financial advice available for those self-funding care in later life, which may result in people requiring state support.
