A legal expert has claimed, former town hall staff who are in the private sector might benefit from more generous LGPS payments.

Former town hall staff who have transferred to the private sector might benefit from more generous Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) payments than existing members, a legal expert has claimed.

LGPS 2014 regulations have failed to clarify the status of local government employees who migrated to private sector schemes under TUPE arrangements, Shane O'Reilly, an associate at legal firm Norton Rose has claimed.
