Library services need ‘urgent action' because they face a ‘bleak future, due to drastic cuts, under-funding and the lack of a clear vision', according to a campaign launched this week.

Speaking Up For Libraries calls on Ed Vaizey, the minister with responsibility for libraries, to recognise the ‘crisis hitting the service', and take action.
