Council leaders have launched a three-point plan to tackle light pollution, in the run-up to new legislation. The Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Act comes into effect on 6 April, making light pollution a criminal offence. The LGA's plan involves recording evidence of the problem, speaking to the person or body responsible, and if a compromise can't be reached, contacting the local council for help.
