Councillors in Cardiff are backing the global ‘Earth hour' initiative to turn off its city lights for an hour. The scheme, devised by the WWF (formerly the World Wildlife Fund) hopes to persuade householders and businesses to turn off their lights between 8pm and 9pm on Saturday 29 March.
