The Leeds Independent Living Accommodation Company (LiLAC) consortium has secured a £60m PFI contract with Leeds City Council. The 25-year PFI deal will see 73 properties built for people with learning difficulties and mental health needs across Leeds in phased developments. Building work starts this month and is scheduled for completion in 2011. The first tenants should move into their new homes in March 2009. The consortium includes Progress Care Housing Association and MJ Gleeson Group.
