The Government should listen to local council and other public sector workers, if it wants good ideas for saving money, according to the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy.
Ian Carruthers, head of policy at CIPFA, said: ‘Staff can bring lots of ideas for improving efficiency, effectiveness and value for money to the table. Their skills and support can make a real difference.'
