A £2 overnight visitor charge will be introduced in Liverpool from next month after hoteliers backed the move in a ballot.

Liverpool City Council's cabinet member for culture and visitor economy, Harry Doyle, said it was a ‘great vote of confidence in the growth of our successful visitor economy'.
