Liverpool City Council approves plans to sell off some of its derelict homes to local people as part of a major regeneration scheme.

Liverpool City Council has approved plans to sell off some of its derelict homes to local people for just £1, as part of a major regeneration scheme.

The mayor's cabinet approved plans on 22 February to bring 179 homes back into use. As part of the plans, up to 20 homes will be sold to local people for just £1, although residents will be expected to live in them for five years.
