It was all aboard in Liverpool this weekend as the city played host to a fleet of tall ships. The visit was organised by the Liverpool Culture Company as a taster for when the city will host the Tall Ships Race in 2008. Leader of Liverpool City Council, Cllr Warren Bradley, said: ‘There are very few cities in the world with a seafaring history as rich as Liverpool’s, and seeing the tall ships arrive on the River Mersey was a fantastic sight.’
