The Local Government Boundary Commission has called on councils who want to review their local areas to come forward.

The Local Government Boundary Commission has called on councils who want to review their local areas to come forward.

As councils consider their plans for transformation, the commission is offering authorities the opportunity to review the number of councillors they have – as well as ward boundaries. Chair of the Commission, Max Caller, said: 'We know there are local authorities that are thinking about – and debating – the number of councillors they should have in the future. Now is the time for them to come forward and put those plans into practice.'
