New research by think-tanks, Future of London and the Smith Institute, warns that overseas investment could price some Londoners out of the housing market.

Paul Hackett, Smith Institute director, said that housing minister, Grant Shapps, and London mayor, Boris Johnson, should ensure that homes being bought by overseas investors were lived in – and that profits from sales were ploughed into affordable homes.
