London mayor, Boris Johnson, has announced plans to extend the freeze on the Greater London Authority's (GLA) precept for a fourth consecutive year.

A statement issued by the GLA claimed, over the past four years, Londoners had saved £120.5m by maintaining a steady level of precept – a sum added to the council tax bills to cover the cost of mayoral and GLA activities.
