The Cabinet Office is seeking a new chair for the Commission for Local Administration in England and Local Government Ombudsman.

The chosen candidate will succeed Tony Redmond, former chief executive of Harrow LBC, who will leave his ombudsman's post shortly. Mr Redmond's replacement will be paid between £145,000 and £165,000 a year – significantly lower than previously. The closing date for applications is 5 November.
