The Big Lottery Fund has awarded Volunteering England £1.9m to set up a network of centres across the country to help people develop new skills and survive the recession.

The Big Lottery Fund has awarded Volunteering England £1.9m to set up a network of centres across the country to help people develop new skills and survive the recession.

The charity will work with 15 centres to support local volunteering projects in areas, which have been hit particularly hard by the economic downturn.
