Capita Symonds has bought land planning consultancy, Lovejoy, for an undisclosed sum. Lovejoy is one of the largest environmental, planning, urban design and landscape architecture practices in the country. The firm has been involved in a variety of projects, including Disneyland Paris, the Royal Ascot Racecourse and Port Marine at Portishead in Bristol. Lovejoy is currently working on the redevelopment of the former Southall gas works in London, and another development in Moscow. ‘We are delighted to welcome Lovejoy to Capita Symonds,' said executive director at Capita Symonds, John Southgate. ‘This acquisition brings us more than 60 highly-creative new members of staff, led by a team of talented directors who are undoubted experts in their fields,' he added.
