LPFA slams 'flawed' pension claims

War of words between the London Pensions Fund Authority and Wandsworth LBC over plans to centralise local authority pensions.

A war of words has broken out between the London Pensions Fund Authority (LPFA) and Wandsworth LBC over plans to centralise local authority pension pots in the capital.

The LPFA issued a statement on 21 March disputing claims by the London borough that plans to merge the various local government pension schemes in the capital could force them to increase council tax bills by £600 (see The MJ 21 March, page 1).
