Southwark LBC has reduced the number of top manager posts at the borough by almost half, saving around £1m a year.

Southwark LBC has reduced the number of top manager posts at the borough by almost half, saving around £1m a year.

The latest ‘streamlining' process has seen the posts of strategic director of health and community services, strategic director of communities, law and governance, and the deputy chief executive removed – with responsibilities reallocated across the smaller team. This follows the removal of two posts in 2010.
