Public sector managers want to focus on outcomes rather than rules and targets when it comes to procurement issues, a poll has found.
The survey, carried out by IT firm, Siemens, at the recent Public Sector Efficiency Expo, found managers were also keen to build on their relationships with private sector partners and simplify procurement legislation. IT was seen as key to consolidating and sharing common resources, reducing administrative, back office and procurement costs and to improve service delivery.
