(ISOS/ Welsh Government Review of Regional Consortia readiness to deliver – April 2013)

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a new organisation that will drive up school achievement across five local authorities. Bridgend, Cardiff, Merthyr Tydfil, Rhondda Cynon Taff and the Vale of Glamorgan.

Our new approach is bringing scale, focus and pace to our engagements with, school leaders, teachers, governors, parents and young people. It will prioritise all elements of improvement including standards, monitoring, support and challenge.

The reality of educational outcomes in Wales is that too much of what we provide does not compare with the best attained within the UK let alone internationally.

Progress is well under way and we are already seeing an impact. Results are improving, confidence levels are returning and we are working well across the five authorities to support the consortium to drive up standards working with heads and governors.

Charismatic, creative and committed, your role will be to lead our School Improvement Consortium to its next stage of delivery and success.

If you think you have what it takes to lead this step change – the imagination, leadership credentials and drive – then we have the challenge for you.
