Educating children is of paramount importance. But the education of looked-after children and young adults has often been questioned, and particularly whether the correct support system is in place.

Last month, the Local Government Association and the IDeA launched Show me how I matter – a guide to the education of looked-after children in a ‘succinct but comprehensive' approach to corporate parenting, the role undertaken by all councils with looked-after children and young adults.
