Barnet LBC is looking for a new chief executive after the current holder was head-hunted by the mayor of London.

Barnet LBC is looking for a new chief executive after the current holder was head-hunted by the mayor of London.

Leo Boland is new chief executive and head of paid service at the Greater London Authority, having been jointly appointed by London mayor, Boris Johnson, and the London Assembly.

Mr Boland has been chief executive at Barnet LBC since 2001, and has also held posts at Newham LBC and Hackney LBC. He will join the GLA in the new year. Mr Johnson said: ‘Mr Boland brings considerable local government experience to this important role.

‘He is known for running a tight ship with a healthy balance sheet and below-inflation council tax rises for borough residents.'
